History comes alive in downtown Easton on Heritage Day from 11:00 a.m to 4:30 p.m. The Reading of the Declaration of Independence will take place at noon on the Heritage Stage. Prior to the Reading, town criers from the United States, Canada and Germany will proclaim for or against independence.
Period crafters and reenact ors from the French and Indian War through World War II will be around Center Square and along Northampton Street. (See our full list of participating reenactor groups.)
Watch the pageant dramatizing the historic Treaty of Easton, with children portraying Redcoats and Indians. Musical performances take place throughout the day on the various stages. An area is set aside for kids’ activities and family fun. A variety of food vendors are located throughout the festival and beer will be available for purchase.
