Phillips Farms
Established in the mid-1800’s and farming this land for six generations, Phillips Farms began as a typical country farm in Hunterdon County NJ that raised a little of everything and is still a family-owned farm based on a very simple formula: respect for the land, passion about produce, dedication to quality, and lots of hard work. Situated along the scenic Delaware River in the rolling countryside of Holland Township, New Jersey, Phillips Farms is a memorable destination in the rural northwest corner of Hunterdon County. Recently, the farm was recognized by the state of New Jersey as part of the Garden State Farmland Preservation Trust Program so that the land is protected for families to enjoy the benefits of fresh, local food for generations to come. Phillips Farms has also been acknowledged for its outstanding farm practices using the sustainable approach of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) — controlling pests and crop disease by methods such as rotating crops and disrupting the mating patterns of insects so they can’t reproduce. Phillips uses professional crop scouts who monitor their fields and orchards and who make recommendations on an as-needed basis that help to minimize chemical use. They believe using IPM to prevent problems is the best solution for a healthy environment for everyone, and is part of their ongoing commitment to providing quality produce and products for their customers.
